NCATE Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Criteria for new SPA Standards
NCATE's Specialty Areas Studies Board established a Task Force to develop new criteria for Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs) standards. The new guidelines are designed to ensure that the SPA standards are more focused and more consistent, while still maintaining an emphasis on student learning and on candidate knowledge and skills. A draft set of principles, with formatting guidance, is now available for your comment.

The Task Force will have two open web-based forums to discuss the proposal. The first on July 6, the second on August 12.
